"The best artists I know don't rely on talent; They learn the fundamentals, then make them their own.

That's what these sessions do: build confidence, build skill, and ultimately give you the ability to make art that is all your own."

About me:

sharing the joys of art!

Hi! I'm Angela Edwards, a trained illustrator and multidisciplinary artist!

During my 14 year career creating visuals and juggling words as an illustrator, graphic artist, and visual journalist for The Indianapolis Star daily newspaper I worked across a variety of mediums, including photography, digital, and, of course, traditional!

My work in the editorial field, training at Herron School of Art, plus the experience of living a working artists life for over 30 years now, gives me great creativity insights, tools and knowledge that I am so excited to begin sharing with you!

Testimonials

Angela is one of the most adept and adaptable artistic problem-solvers I know. Her innate curiosity and editorial training influences how she creatively seeks out solutions that offer fresh perspectives to how she views and interprets the world.

Richard A.

M.I.T. Trained Engineer & Art Collector

Angela's studio work moves freely across mediums, capturing her spirit of experimentation and improvisation, which is refreshing. Driven by curiosity and confidence rather than a strict formal agenda, the work never feels arbitrary and is always sincere.

What if I've tried group art classes before?

Large vs. small group; there is a difference!

The difference in working in a small-group setting within a private art studio is like night and day:

You are supported and held by a guide and community that is here to support.

The personalization you will receive in a one-two-or 3-person session is vastly different than instruction that is divided among a class of many.

When you sign up to work with me on a weekly or monthly basis, we review your work and I help you develop within the focus of the direction you want to go creatively - while building on your artistic strengths - meaning you have the opportunity to advance quicker than if you were within a large-group setting.
